Beauty and Veins Clinical Facial

There’s no denying that every woman loves a little pampering and there is no better way to pamper yourself and get a much-needed relaxation than to book an appointment for a clinical facial. A facial has benefits which are aesthetic as well as psychological. Not only does it improve the look of the skin, it also takes that back-breaking stress off your shoulders.

facial BeautyandVeins

Facial is one of the best ways to take care of your skin. A facial

cleanses, exfoliates and nourishes the skin, promoting a clear, well-hydrated complexion, and can help your skin look younger.

This skin treatment includes cleansing, skin analysis, steaming, extractions, vacuum suction, high frequency, sunblock and a little bit of head and shoulder massage.
Cleansing. After wrapping your hair with a headband, the nurses begins with a thorough cleansing, using cotton pads, wipes or sponges.

Skin Analysis. The nurses cover your eyes and looks at your skin through a brightly lit magnifying lamp. She is determining your basic skin type (dry, oily, combination, sensitive or normal) and skin conditions (acne, blackheads, whiteheads, aging, sun-damage, dehydration, etc.) The nurse will choose the appropriate products and treatments, and consults with you about what she sees and recommends.

Steam. A machine is used, it directs a thin vapor of warm steam to your face. A good steam facial can open up your pores and let out impurities. This is relaxing and helps softens up any blackheads and whiteheads to be extracted.

Extractions. This is the removal of blackheads or whiteheads if you want it and need it. People have different pain tolerance for extractions. They can be uncomfortable, especially on thin or ruddy skin. Extractions can cause broken capillaries and discoloration if done improperly.

Vacuum Suction. Vacuum suction treatment is applied to the surface of the skin tissue causing lift and stimulation of the under-lying structures. Vacuum suction is aimed at improving blood flow and lymph circulation and can be used to treat dry skin and remove surface dead skin cells.

High Frequency. This is always performed with facial. It has a bactericidal effect on the skin, so it is advisable to use it after all other treatments have been carried out.
Facial massage using classic strokes like effleurage to both relax you and stimulate your skin and facial muscles.

You may merely enjoy the pampering and relaxation you feel when receiving a facial treatment, but there are a multitude of other benefits that offer you and your skin health and wellness.

GentleYAG’s 1064nm Laser

Not happy with shaving, tweezing, or waxing to remove unwanted hair? Laser hair removal may be an option worth considering.

The GentleYAG effectively treats all skin types, including tanned skin, offering unmatched treatment capabilities in permanent hair reduction. Treat patients year-round with GentleYAG’s 1064 nm wavelength, multiple spot sizes, variable pulse durations and Candela’s patented cryogen cooling system (DCD™) for maximum patient comfort and safety. (http://www.candelalaser.com/products/index.cfm?task=gentleyagPhotos) gentleYag hair removal picture

This non-invasive technique generates a concentrated, highly intense beam of light which kills the hair roots without damaging the surrounding skin tissue. It is a quick, effective and gentle system for the removal of unwanted hair. This is virtually a painless procedure since the laser only emits light. Some clients report a tingling sensation, or a slight pin-prick sensation. However the collective opinion is that the discomfort is significantly less painful than waxing, tweezing, razor burn or cuts from shaving. ( http://www.healthpathwayintl.com/aesthetics/laser-hair-removal-with-candela-gentle-yag/)

Candela Gentle YAG features a cooling device which protects the skin and makes treatment more comfortable. In addition, we can apply anesthetic gel topically to the skin before beginning the treatment session if a client is particularly concerned about pain sensitivity. (http://www.healthpathwayintl.com/aesthetics/laser-hair-removal-with-candela-gentle-yag/)

Hair Removal with the Candela Gentle YAG System we can treat any part of the body . For women the most common treatment areas are the underarms, upper lip, legs, bikini line, and eyebrows while are most concerned with their beard area, the shoulders and the back. (http://www.healthpathwayintl.com/aesthetics/laser-hair-removal-with-candela-gentle-yag/)

The number of sessions you will need is dependent on a number of factors. Some of these factors are your hair color (darker hair requires less sessions), your skin pigmentation (dark skin may require more sessions), your hair density, your hormonal status, and whether or not you are on medication (some medicines can increase hair growth). (http://www.healthpathwayintl.com/aesthetics/laser-hair-removal-with-candela-gentle-yag/)

However on average clients can expect to need three to six treatment sessions. This is due to the fact that the laser destroys hair follicles that are in an active growth stage by destroying the roots. But at any given time there are also hair follicles in dormant stages, which have not yet developed roots. On the dormant hairs lasers have no effect, so the client must return to destroy the dormant hairs as they enter the active stage of their cycle and develop roots. (http://www.healthpathwayintl.com/aesthetics/laser-hair-removal-with-candela-gentle-yag/)

It is common to experience redness after the treatment which in many cases fades before the client gets back home. It is also normal for some clients to experience redness for between one and forty-eight hours after laser treatment. In addition, you may experience dryness in the treated areas. It is also recommended that you do not take a hot shower or bath for the first day after treatment, and that you avoid any activity that may cause sweating for the first day as well. Results are best and irritation is minimized when the skin is not overheated by hot water or exercise immediately following laser treatment. (http://www.healthpathwayintl.com/aesthetics/laser-hair-removal-with-candela-gentle-yag/)

After 1-2 weeks the treated hair simply falls out. At approximately 6 weeks the next cycle of hair becomes apparent. This new hair growth is substantially less, with fewer follicles present, and a thinner and softer regrowth than before. Subsequent treatments compound this result, permanently reducing hair growth.(http://www.healthpathwayintl.com/aesthetics/laser-hair-removal-with-candela-gentle-yag/)

Sclerotherapy

Varicose veins are permanently dilated (widened) and twisted veins. Although this can occur in any part of the body, it usually develops in the legs. Varicose veins can look unsightly and ruin your confidence. So we look at ways to prevent and treat them.

varicose-veins image

Beauty and Veins offers sclerotherapy the gold standard treatment for spider veins and small varicose veins. Sclerotherapy is a medical procedure whereby a medicine is injected into the varicose veins, which makes them shrink. Not everyone is a candidate for sclerotherapy. That’s why it is important to have an initial consultation with a vascular surgeon who will decide if this treatment is for you.sclerotherapy image

What to expect with sclerotherapy? Using a very fine needle a solution is directly injected into the veins. You may experience a mild discomfort in some areas injected for a minute or two. The procedure itself takes approximately 20-30 minutes. And the number of veins injected in one session varies, and depends on the size and location of the veins, as well as the general medical condition of the patient. After the procedure, you will be required to wear a compression stockings and advised to walk for 10-15 minutes to promote circulation. You may think your legs look worse initially because of possible bruising, local swelling or blistering. Results can actually take several weeks to be appreciated.

Causes of Bloating and Tips to Debloat Instantly

Do you feel like there’s too much fluid inside your tummy that it feels uncomfortable and looks a bit bigger on the outside?  You must be bloated.  I’ve been there and I know how awful it feels, so let me share with you some information on what probably caused that bloating feeling, as well as tips to debloat quickly.

Causes of bloating

In contrary to what you feel like there’s too much water or fluid inside your stomach, bloating is actually the accumulation of gas or air in your stomach.  If you ask what could have caused your bloating, it might be one of following:

  • Eating too fast.  When you eat fast and you’re not able to chew your food properly, they result to air being swallowed.  This causes bloating. What you can do is to eat slowly and chew your food properly even if you are very hungry.
  • Lactose intolerance and possible food allergies.  In many cases, you may feel bloated after taking in milk or other food that you might be allergic to.  If you suspect that your milk or some food is triggering that bloating feeling, try to avoid that food or better consult your doctor for better diagnosis.
  • Drinking too much softdrinks.  Do you notice that you burp once you consume carbonated drinks?  The same gas that you release can get trapped inside your tummy, causing bloating.  If you think this happens every time you drink carbonates drinks, try to minimize your sofdrink consumption and try flavored water instead.
  • Constipation.  When you’re constipated, it means that you have little fiber, you’re not well-hydrated, and you don’t have enough fluids in your body system.  All these can also lead to bloating.  If you’re constipated, drink plenty of fluids, especially water and fresh fruit juices.  Eating fresh fruits and vegetables that are high in fiber also helps you avoid getting bloated.

Other causes of bloating include chewing too much bubble gum, consuming too much artificial sweeteners, and consuming too much sodium, such as those in processed foods.

Tips to debloat instantly

Now that you know what may have caused that full feeling in your stomach, let’s learn some tips on how debloat quickly.

  • Drink lots of water. Plenty of water can help remove the toxins and salt out of your body system, thus helping you quickly debloat.
  • Eat watery fruits and food high in fiber.  These foods will help move things in your stomach, including gas.  Slices of watermelons or cantaloupes are great during breakfast, as well as lemon in hot water for your beverage in the morning.
  • Spice  up your dishes with ginger and cinnamon.  If you’re fond of using spices with your dishes, choose ginger and cinnamon, which are known to help relieve bloating.
  • Eat smaller meals more frequently.  Eating frequently can keep you from getting too hungry and eating too fast.  Remember that a lot of air goes to your stomach if you eat fast and chew fast.
  • Increase your potassium intake.  Since too much consumption of sodium can cause bloating, eat more bananas and other food high in potassium that washes out the extra sodium in your body. Other high-potassium food, include white beans, plain yogurt, milk, and dried fruits, such as apricot, peach, and raisins.
  • Avoid alcoholic drinks for now.  Drinking alcohol can worsen your bloat.  The alcohol, as well as the sugar contents of your drinks, can all add up to your gassy and uncomfortable feeling.

Other food and drinks that can help you debloat include pineapple, parsely, peppermint tea, green leafy vegetables, and yogurts.

To avoid continually feeling bloated, make sure you also avoid what triggers bloating.  Avoid softdrinks, chewing gums, sweeteners, and salty food for now as mentioned above.  Make sure you chew your food slowly and stay hydrated.  By knowing what causes that bloating feeling you have and following the tips mentioned, you will feel so much better and see your belly getting flatter in no time.

You can also go for i-Lipo. It is a US FDA-approved non-invasive skin contact laser for fat reduction, an intelligent alternative to liposuction. Nevertheless, we advise you to seek a doctor before doing so.

Getting to Know i-Lipo

The first thing that would probably come into your mind when you hear the word “lipo” is liposuction – a rather scary surgical operation that will instantly remove fats out of your body.  That invasive procedure, however, has a better non-surgical alternative, called i-Lipo.  Let’s learn more about i-Lipo.
i-lipo

What is i-Lipo?

i-Lipo is a non-invasive procedure that removes fat and gives shape to your body.  It is a safer, more natural alternative to liposuction that uses safe laser beams to liquefy fats and eventually remove them from your body through physical exercise.

How does i-Lipo work?

i-Lipo makes use of a  machine with pads attached to your skin.  This pad emits safe levels of laser beams that basically promote the breaking down and releasing of triglycerides in your fat cells.  These “broken-down” contents of fat should then be metabolized and released out of your body through physical activity or workout so that they won’t be absorbed by other fat cells.  For i-Lipo to be fully effective, you need around eight 20-minute sessions.

What are the benefits of i-Lipo?

  • FDA-approved fat-removal procedure with no side effects
  • non-invasive and non-surgical, which means no scary cuts and no risks of infections
  • generally comfortable and relaxing procedure
  • natural treatment, which does not disturb normal body processes and does not cause any cell or nerve damage
  • generally safe for everyone

What are some tips for i-Lipo fat-removal treatment?

  • Before getting an i-Lipo, make sure you are not breasfeeding or preganant.  If you have other serious medical conditions, such as thyroid disorders, an i-Lipo may not be for you.  Do not forget to consult your doctor about it.
  • Be sure to follow post-treatment instructions, such as physical activity, in order to effectively eliminate fats in your body.
  • For best results, complete the recommended number of i-Lipo sessions.

i-Lipo surely is a safe and natural way to eliminate fats in your body and to give it a shape you have always wanted.
